After googling I use for #page margin-left:auto and margin-right:auto.

It's 920px wide. As is the bottom image. That's the clients request. Can

Your client wants their site to look like this?

You should, based on that, be able to demonstrate to them that a fluid
design is better than a fixed pixel one.
