div content dosn't hold format until you scroll down and back up

I have a page where the content in a dev is all over the page unitl you scroll down and back up. This behavior only happens in IE. Any guesses what can cause this.

This problem was caused by having 3 spans inside a div block each taking up a % of the width. I floated the first two left and the third right. Once I removed the right float from the css the problem went away. There must be something wrong elsewhere because I have used this method of placement many times. I will have to continue to dig. Thanks for the responses.
