UL separation

Can CSS control the space between bullet items?

Not line-height.
I guess it would be distance between each paragraph.

How?

There aren't any paragraphs unless you insert them into the list items.
You want margin-bottom or margin-top, just as you would for vertical
spacing between any two adjacent elements.

Yes, you can give all <li>s top margins and class the first item
to make an exception of it, you can give all bottom margins and
class the last to except it, you can just give bottom and/or top
and class both first and last to except them, or any or all of
these and forget the classing and excepting, it usually looks
fine anyway. depends on the context and what you do with cssing
the <ultoo.

css:

li {margin-bottom: .8em;)

html:

<ul>
<li>...</li>
<li>...</li>
<li>...</li>
<li>...</li>
<li>...</li>
</ul>
