How _not_ to do mobile pages

I have a T-Mobile phone, a modern fairly-big screen phone with
tolerable web access. They just texted me an offer for cheap web access
from it, along with a URL. Now I'd like to see this, but I'm sitting at
my desk and phone web access is far too expensive (hence their offer!),
so rather than browsing to the site on my phone I used my desktop.

To find this:
http://www.t-mobile-favourites.co.uk/en/fup.jsp

I can understand why it's like this, and it's not as bad as it could
have been, but it's still just so _unneccessary_ to make a page that's
this poor on a decent browser 8-(

It's also got the common idiocy of using an HTML doctype, but XHTML-ish
syntax, as is typical with tag soup these days.
