IE7 (As usual) - opening in new tab

Hey, yet another problem with IE7 - my site has a link which opens in a
new window (yes, it's necessary, don't shout at me), which works fine
in FF or opera tabs, but in IE it opens a whole new browser window,
instead of just opening it in a new tab. Anyone found/know/invented a
way to do this yet?
