SSI - Help

EA
<!--#include file="NavListing.html" -->

When I use the file include above, every thing works fine.

However when I try to get things working with the include file in a separate
directory, the same one the StyleSheet is in, I get a 404 Object Not Found
error! The navcontainer gets drawn but the error text is inside.

<html>
<head>

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252">

<title>Title</title>

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"
href="Navigation/MenusStyleSheet.css">

<style type="text/css" media="screen">
#Navcontainer ul ul {display: none;}
</style>

</head>

<body>

<div id="navcontainer">
<!--#include virtual="/Pages/Navigation/NavListing.html" -->
</div>

</body>
</html>

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My directory structure is
<root>
<Pages>
Default.shtm
<Navigation>
NavListing.html
As described above if I put the 'Title' file (above) in the <Pages>
directory I cannot get the include to work.
I am using IIS 5.1 and IE 6.0.
Hard to say without knowing your server config, but I'd expect this to
be
<!--#include virtual="/Navigation/NavListing.html" -->
My directory structure is
<root>
<Pages>
Default.shtm
<Navigation>
NavListing.html
None of the following work:
<!--#include virtual="/Navigation/NavListing.html" -->
<!--#include virtual="./Navigation/NavListing.html" -->
<!--#include virtual="../Pages/Navigation/NavListing.html" -->
If I put the NavListing.html in the Pages directory then the following works
without issue:
<!--#include file="NavListing.html" -->
You mention you do know anything about my server config.... what would you
need to know and more importantly where would I find what you need to know?
