Open a Printer Share using HTML

ok, here is the deal. I am an amature when it comes to HTML but using FrontPage I made some very helpful pages for the user community i work with. I use HTML to point users to shares (a href="file://server_name/Share") but i can't seem to get the same to work with a printer share that will point the user to a link to set up their printer. The print server is in the same format as above. I need some help

Explain more of what you are trying print. Are you trying to print HTML windows?

HTML is used to describe parts of a document.
Using it for anything else is bad practice and in some cases impossible.

sounds more like you are getting into Active X objects.
