I have A Meta Refresh tag <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="120">. It works but what i want it to do is not to refresh when I am in edit mode. So when my client goes to edit information in a sub routine they don't get pushed back to the original screen. Any help would be creatly apprieciated.

I think you need to take out the tag in the edit page.

That should solve the problem.

Thanks for replying but I'm still confused, isn't the Tag in the head of html...so edit mode is in the body of the html and has no tag of its own?
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="30"> ====this is what is in the head of the html doc. the edit command is in the body inside a datagrid I know i can make the seconds longer but that is not what i want to do. I want it to stop if I'm editing the information on a page.

You can try and replace the content with a variable that may solve your situation.

Though the meta tag is in <head> and your content is in <body>, the meta tag refreshes the whole page.

This tag is mainly used in sites where you expect data to be updated constantly. Like your mail service. That way, you need not press refresh everytime you want get in new mails.

I do not think you need in your edit page.

Incase you are still in doubt, please reply to this.

I was looking and didn't see any way of excluding the edit portion from the meta refresh...I really apperciate all the help, and apologies for my ignorance on the subject. I'm just getting started with all of this.
