Interactive Image Map

1
i want to create an interactive image map.. i have a map of a city and i want to add hotspots to certain areas that when hovered on by the mouse a box would open up next to the map with the name of that place and a picture. i have no idea how to make boxes open up above the page but i saw it done on a website and i thought it looked good.. http://www.bris.ac.uk/university/maps/precinct-inter.html
