Bad characters found in link by Total Validator

P: n/a
I am using the Firefox extension Total Validator. I received this error
message for the code that follows the error message. When I check the page
at W3C, it comes back as correct under HTML 4.1 strict. However, I am OC
enough to want to get the code correct. Can someone tell me what is wrong
with the code? I retyped the hyphens, thinking that they might be the
problem, but they were OK.
