Direct link to a web site after clicking on an image

Hello,
I am a beginner when it comes to HTML so any help would be great.
I would like to have an image that when clicked on will take directly to another site.

Hello and thanks for the reply
I have inserted the name of the .gif file i wanted to use but it has come up with a small box with a red cross inside.
I'm not sure what the problem is?
Any help would be great

are you sure your picture format is gif?
there a number of different file types, such as
.jpg
.bmp
.png

make sure you are using gif,
if you are using a .jpg file, replace the .gif with .jpg
let me know if you have any problems
