How to assign a border to the numbers of a <ol>?

Hi everybody,

i'm asking myself, if there's a way to assign css border: to just the
numbers of my order list <ol>.

If there's no way, there might be a way to use background-image: like to
use images for list-style-type:?

Thx Vero

Nothing reliable.

A hack that only "works" if the number of list items is known:

That would break if the font size on the client system is different than
on your system.

That hack is great and it's valid. Thank you very very much... :-)
