I am so new and my question is so simple..

but, all I wanted to learn to do is turn my one word signature" flyinggem" into html
I belong to a forum where I can place my signature on my postings but need to turn it into html first. I am so computer illiterate that I do not want to try and read the postings here and try to read where this has already been explained to someone else because all the postings seem to be using terms I never heard of before and I am too intimidated...can someone help the non-geek? :confused:

How would you like it to appear?

[html]flyinggem[/html] is html in so far as normal text is valid in html but it wont stand out much because it will just be the same as the rest of the text.

However if you want it to standout you could do something like

[html]<span style="font: italic bold 2em cursive; color: #FF00FF;">flyinggem</span>[/html] for double height bold italic magenta text using a cursive (like hand writing) font.

Not I have used CSS rather than HTML, this is possible in HTML but is neater in CSS.

And another thing of note is it HTML the forum wants or limited HTML or something else entirely.

Like livejournal and myspace... I know html but I don't know that stuff as well
