Menu Problem IE vs Mozilla

Hi there,

I am definitely a newbie with this web design stuff. So please be patient with me! :-)

My question is, my web site looks how I want it to on IE 6 with the left menu static and the right side scrolling up and down.

However, when I open it with mozilla there is a scrollbar along the bottom of the menu and the menu scrolls with the main section of the page. (I hope this is making sense since I don't know all the lingo!)

I imagine there is an easy fix to this problem. If you can help me with your knowledge so I can make the mozilla browser view the site the same as the IE browser I would be very grateful!

I used an oswd web template and edited it to make this site.

Thanks so much,
Shanna

I could not see a problem in FireFox, however if you want to write a site with good cross browser support then you need to make sure that you have written valid HTML.

You can do this by running your site through the W3C HTML validator

http://validator.w3.org/

Needless to say when I did this to your site it through up a number of errors. Please ask if you need any of them explaining to you :-)

This is basically completely wrong, write the site correctly and it will display correctly in all browsers. The problem is that IE is full of bugs so when people design their site in IE it then doesn't look correct in other browsers because they have designed in IE bugs. If you force IE to work correctly (or as close as it can get) then when you write your site it will appear correctly in most other browsers.
