Blogging with CSS ?

If it exists, can someone point me to a blogging tool
that relies for formatting on one (or a FEW) external
stylesheets instead of embedding (and repeating!) tons
of CSS and font tags within the text?

Preferably, the tool will also generate relatively simple
static HTML, XHTML, or XML, instead of assembling entries
and elements on the fly by Javascript and/or CGI.

Thanks

WordPress might be what you are looking for.

Here are two blogs I read that use WordPress:

<http://www.badastronomy.com/bablog/>
<http://www.joshreads.com/>

Hmm... I believe that it uses php to generate the page, rather than
writing a static page. However, the markup does seem to be free of
<font> and <table> elements, although it seems to make pretty heavy use
of <div>s.

I viewed the source of both. It's a HUGE improvement on
the item that triggered my complaint. But it's still more
complicated than I prefer. Partly because the visual item
is too complicated for an A.D.D. guy like me. I'm a bit
obsessive in favor of simplicity.

Obsessive is dedicating one's life to resolving
the unaesthetic asymmetry of 'pop' and 'push'
(One is a procedure with one parameter, the other
is a parameterless function.)
