Browser support for internal entity definitions

What browsers currently support entity definitions in an internal DTD?
E.g.,

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" [
<!ENTITY aleph "א">

I had been thinking of HTML and XHTML as SGML and read too much into
that; I now realize that just because something is valid SGML doesn't
mean that HTML, XHTML or XML browsers support it. Hence the query.

We've done this before.
Write your Hebrew letters as numeric character references
