background image - shows only partially

Hi there

This is a site i am working on:

http://www.keyone.nl/lab/grunopark/basis2.asp

On the left is a background image. On it is some text.
The picture is longer then you can see. It shows only where the text is.
I believe this is the normal way with css?

Is there a way to have the pictures shown completely? A workaround so to
speak? I can add some <p>&nbsp;</p>, but don't think this is a fine
solution.

Can i combine some <div> elements to do this trick? And how would that be?

I hope you have a suggestion for me.

Thanks,
Mark

It shows as far as the element stretches. With no height given, it
only stretches as far as the content needs it to.

You have a pinkish red background below (and behind) the picture.
Whatever element you made that colour, set the background image to
that one.

You shouldn't, because it would mean problems when people enlarge
their font-size.

Well, how did you get that red/pink column on the right?
Didn't you set 'background-color:[some value of red];' in the
stylesheet? Add 'background-image:url([your image]);' to that same
element's styles, and take it off the one it's on now.
