Overflow inside a td

Hi,
can we insert an overflow attribute inside a <td> so that if the text is too lengthy we can display it as ... and the user will drag the column to read the full text

So you want the height and width of the TD to be the same. If the text is too long you want the user to drag to read more. Do you want a scroll bar so that they can drag or you want them to guess with the mouse?

You could use frames.

Paste a snippet of your code in here so we can see what you have done so far. Use the CODE tags so that it displays properly.

You can always use CSS overflow property to get scrollbars on the TD element.
Actually you can do it on any valid block element.

overflow: scroll /* puts scrollbars */
overflow: auto /* puts scrollbars when needed */
overflow: hidden /* default, hides scrollbars */

Remember that in order to use this property you need to set a fixed width and/or height to the element.

I hope that's enough, answer back if it isn't.
