header and footers?

I am not sure what it's called in code, but what I am trying to do is
create and header and footer for my webpage that will load the same
code in every page (code i.e., styles, pictures, url links, etc.). Can
anyone help? Thanks.

There are a lot of ways this can be done, but which one you will use
depends on what technologies you are using to build your site.

Can you give some more information:
-- are you using a WYSIWYG tool like Dreamweaver, FrontPage, etc.?
-- do you know what server technologies you are using, e.g.: IIS or
Apache, etc.?
-- or are you for instance building in .NET, ColdFusion or something
else?

There's not much in the way of a quick answer without knowing what your
world looks like.

The best way, in my opinion, is to use include files. You simply create your
header.htm and footer.htm and 'include' them at the top and bottom of each
of your pages.
