How to make a simple ticker on a web page?

Hi to everybody,

I need to insert into a web page a very simple "message ticker" (maybe
Javascript?!) that should have the following features:

- scroll multiple lines of text
- the lines to be showed must be easily entered / modified / deleted in
a way that must bypass direct html editing (maybe read from a txt
file?)
- i prefer to avoid database implementation cause my hosting server
doesn't have that

Any ideas?
Alex

I doubt you need to roll-your-own. There are plenty of implementations
out there, for instance this PHP solution:

Google it a bit, and I'm sure you'll come up with something

If you still must do so, google "javascript scrolling text"
