version of Dreamweaver, does it matter?

I've got Dreamweaver MX (which is version 6) and one of my coworkers is
getting DW 8 (the latest version). We'll both be working on the same
website together - anyone know if the site management features will work
for both of us (like show who has checked out a file, etc.)? Or do we both
need to have the exact same version?

Ask in a group like macromedia.dreamweaver, this group is about HTML

Thanks for the pointer - I didn't even realize there was a Dreamweaver
group. Will try that now. Thx!
