Transparent backgrounds

2
Hi

I am new so thanks for reading. I have just made a quick html file that is to be integrated into my companies Active desktop. Now this works fine and everyone can have this now as a background with search functions etc etc. However. I am totally unable to make this background transparent!

If a customer has a windows backdrop for example the active desktop menu I have made covers this up in either white/black or some other colour. Is there anyway to make an html file completly transparent!? I mean totally so that I can see my desktop?

Thanks

G'Day.
Just an Idea, but maybe your could create a background image, totally transparent - say 100x100 pixels, then use the 'repeat' ? / tile function to fill the entire form window with it.

Just an idea - I'm a CSS newbie byself.

Regards, Greg.
