CSS drop downs

When I am using a <select>, with "width: auto"... in IE this looks
great, however in Firefox the text is running in to the little down
arrow that you click on to make a selection (it is going behind it). I
have the padding at 0px.

Any ideas how to fix it? Would like to use auto instead of giving it a
px width.

I fixed my own problem. I had:

* {
margin: 0px;
padding: 0px;
}

In one of my stylesheets that I didn't see. That was screwing up the
drop down!
