Domain hosting and incomplete redirection (I think!)

My wife's bookgroup has a web site - http://www.bookgroup.org.uk which
I maintain.

The URL actually displays this page

http://www.btinternet.com/~edandmill/home.htm

thanks to UK2 who host the domain.

However, if I go to http://www.bookgroup.org.uk and click on one of the
links - say the word Reviews at the top of the page, I go here.

http://www.btinternet.com/~edandmill/reviews.htm

What I would like is for the address bar to continue to mask
http://www.btinternet.com/~edandmill/ and replace it with
http://www.bookgroup.org.uk. So, for example, instead of

http://www.btinternet.com/~edandmill/reviews.htm

have

http://www.bookgroup.org.uk/reviews.htm

I've tried to get some sense out of UK2 but no luck so far.

Does anyone know how I can do this?

Thanks

Edward

The only way to do this properly is to edit the DNS settings for domain. At
the moment you have a redirect going on. What you need to do is insert an IP
address or domain name of the "server" hosting your site, in your case
http://www.btinternet.com/~edandmill/ and then your domain will behave
correctly. This all depends of course if your registrar allows you to change
these settings.

I don't think this is possible. You could probably do it using
mod_rewrite in Apache and some framesets and a whole load of other stuff
but that relies on you having all sorts of things available to you at
server level.

Why not just get some cheap hosting where you can use the proper domain
name?

Take out the target="_top" attribute from the links in question, so
that the links remain in the current frameset.

However, using frames to mask the URL is an awkward, unpleasant
"solution", since it prevents people from bookmarking pages within your
site. It would be much better, as others in this thread have stated, to
get a true hosting account for your domain so that the pages can be
placed in it with no cheesy framed redirect.

Also, frames won't do what the original poster wanted which was to have
www.btinternet.com/~adandmill/something replaced with
www.bookgroup.org.uk/something where the something remains the same.
