Nix the Mix! of percent and unit widths

I learned it /again/. I learned not to mix percent widths and unit (em,
px) widths in the same element. It's just asking for trouble if my goal
is a fluid layout that works in several browsers.

Percentages and units step on each others' toes as the viewport is
resized horizontally; and different browsers resolve the conflict
differently.

So I learned /again/ to choose one or the other of width values, and to
use that choice exclusively.
