Apply multiple css styles to a textfield?

Is it possible to apply multiple css styles to a textfield. Eg, if the
value of the textfield is "foo bar" id like for 'foo' to be arial and
'bar' to be verdana. Or... id like for 'foo' to be underlined and 'bar'
to be highlighted. Is this possible? -Nick

It seems you want to build sort of editor widget ? You could check the
existing ones, there is a little list of them here :

I've also heard good things about :

You should be able to do this using the <span> tag.

Thank you for the bogosity indication of using upside-down fullquoting,
with the extra nonsense of putting the quoted text into your sig.

This should guarantee that nobody takes your response seriously.
(And, of course, it is easy to check that there's no place where you
could validly put the <span> tag in this case.)

I havent tried it, but you may be able to do this using some kind of
plug-in edit widget. something like the microsoft triedit control
(which is only available for IE) but i think I have seen a generic kind
of rich edit widget somewhere. perhaps google for "rich edit control"
and see what comes up.

You're quite right - that really was a spectacularly wrong answer. I see to
my chagrin I didn't read the original posting half-properly. Apologies to
the OP.

Meanwhile, your blood pressure may improve if you can reach the indifference
towards my posting preferences that I have towards your outrage over them.
Use your killfile, if you care so much. Really.
(No further comment from me on this dull subject, I promise.).

"Bogisity" is a good word, though.
