In my locality? Just about twice what shelf-stacking in a supermarket
pays. OTOH, the skill level is lower.

The market is _vastly_ over-supplied with idiot web designers from a
few years ago and there's still no appreciation as to what entails
quality in web design. So stupid people get employed for peanuts and
bad sites get built. It's not a market I'd advise anyone to get into.

There are opportunities for web developers of back-end code,
particularly those with 5 years experience of products released 3
years ago. But that's a hard niche to break into, because even that
has a huge over supply of people over roles.

Depends.
Are you in India or China? Because that's where most of ours live.

24,000 rupees per year doesn't sound like much :-(
