Listen to but not download music files

I have a client who wants to post his music on his website so that a viewer
can listen to but not download the file. I'm aware that its possible to
record anything that comes out of your sound card but not everyone knows
how to do that. A method that the average person doesn't know about will
be sufficient for him. What's the best way to do this? I haven't ruled
out Flash but I'd prefer not to use it.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If I were in your place I'd recommend that the client offer short segments
of his music rather than full songs, this has two advantages: the download
time will be reduced and a potential customer may find the sample tempting
enough to buy the whole song. Your client may find that when people are able
to listen to the whole song they may not be as tempted to buy. YMMV.
