Browser and standards comparisons

Somewhat off topic. I am looking for an authoratative site which
compares the latest browsers and their support for W3C standards. Also
HTML code pushes them into standards/quirks mode. Essentially, I need
to track down what would make, say Firefox, not display a page. I
haven't found that site yet. Does it exist?

Any help appreciated.

Not sure what you mean by "authoratative", but here are a couple good
references:

<URL:http://www.hut.fi/u/hsivonen/doctype.html>

Not authorative or comprehensive, but a useful read nonetheless:
