Need some help with this one

I asked around about my problem, but so far no one has replied to me so
I dont know if its possible or maybe i was posting in the wronng
groups. Ok well I have a asp script going on my works website. The
script basically is a logon script that gives a default page for each
user (in my jobs case our students). Now the script had code in it
giving the admininstrator an oppurtunity to send users a text message
about news and whathaveya to there students, but we dont need it. So i
thought it would be much easier to use those text messages for teachers
to send links to our homework downloads, but i dont want the teachers
to be have to type in the long url address to it, what i want is
basically my question. The textarea i am using for this post right now,
is there a way to make a defult url hidden in it so when i hit the
submit button it would automatically have the url as well as the plain
text be a hyperlink. In other words i want to be able to have
everything in the textarea automatically be a hyperlink. Can this be
done?

Why do you think that asking about scripts is appropriate in an _authoring.html_
newsgroup?

I read this several times and I still do not understand what you want
to do. It is incomprehensible.
How do you send links to a download area?
Why would someone want to download just a link?
If the textarea contains a random message, why would you make a link
out of it?

Ok first of all I didnt know exactly what forum to post this in so I am
sorry if this was the wrong one. And my question probably was alittle
bit confusing and I do apologize for that. Ok, when the admin logs into
there page they have a chance to send a text message to all users who
are in there classroom. This works fine and they seem to send messages
with no prob, but what I was thinking was to use these text messages as
a way to send a link to there homework so when a student logins they
have a text message saying "Click here for your homework" or something
like that, so back to the admin text messsage page. It has three input
areas 1, being the subject 2, being if they want to send the message to
all users, and 3 the textarea or the body of the message. This is where
I want to add a default hyperlink for there homework. So when a teacher
types in the textarea she only has to type in the file itself and when
she hits submit or send message it would send out the whole url
including the file name she just typed in. Thats all i want. Is this
possible?

Thanks and sorry for the wrong group and sorry for my lack of
explination.
