I need to implement a sales section on our company website to sell
products direct to consumers. We have to do this in short order but I
have very little html and no php experience. Our platform is Windows
2000 Server and we would like the product to communicate with our
Oracle server but we could install a standalone database that is part
of a storefront package if necessary (MySQL as part of the package,
for example). What products are available that could be easily
modified and configured to suit a low volume of sales (perhaps 2000
per year)?
Thanks.
hire a contractor. Your inexperience will just get in the way.
Thanks. Now what does everyone think about a programs such as LiteCommerce?
Are there other easy to use web commerce solutions that require less than
normal hand-holding?
Thanks.
I eschew purchased programs. I bought a couple and found them to be
underdocumented and poorly written (CommerceLight was out of the price
range). If you don't understand security issues and can't program php,
I think someone else should do this project. You're only heading for
world of hurt (as well as are you customers).
