Mousing Over Text

I have a list of documents that appear may be available as a Word
document, PDF, or are on a website. All this information is in a table.

I would like to have the table set up so if the user puts the cursor on
the document name (not a hot link), a brief description of the document
appears on the screen.

Any suggestions on how to do this?

Thanks

That's one way, and due to its simplicity probably the most advisable.

However one might desire for the information presented to be styleable,
persistant when one moves the pointer away from the item (until another
is selected) and so on. If this is the case, other means can be
suggested. However I would suggest the OP investigate the title
attribute first and figure out whether it does what he needs.
