Different browsers render differently

Working on a site, the site renders great on IE 6 SP2 but breaks in IE 6
and really breaks in firefox. I use a lot of CSS to position the drop
down menu system and other things. Any ideas?

1)
- 31 errors. If you're confused by any of them, feel free to ask about
them specifically.

2) Use sensible alt values - "Image" for a text-as-image helps no one.

3) Text will not resize in IE, making it illegible to some users. Use % in
CSS to size all text.

4) Tables for layout make baby Jesus cry.

Ill fix these and the css validation errors (Firefox web development
toolbar :-)) 2) Use sensible alt values - "Image" for a text-as-image helps no one.

It sure won't in browsers that don't speak CSS. You'll have varying degrees
of difficulty with *any* browser at this point, since none of them perfectly
implements CSS, but Netscape before version 6 and IE before version 5 will
give you the greatest difficulty. IE6 isn't a picnic either.

So 1% of your visitors get a simplified layout. This is not a big deal in
exchange for HTML that is easier to maintain, downloads faster and is
better food for search engines.

In addition to the argument that the userbase of older browsers
decreases and the userbase of modern browsers increases. This is
happening while I am typing and it cannot be stopped.
