Dreamweaver VERY slow

Hi,

I'm on a Mac, OSX version 10.3.5, 1.25GB SDRAM, 400 MHz PowerPC G4

I have DreamweaverMX 2004, version 7.0.1.

It is painfully slow!! It's very slow working in design view, and almost
just as slow working in code view. I'm always in split view so I can see
what I've done in the code. So I click into the design view and it takes
almost 5-8 seconds for the changes I just made in the code to "happen."

While in design view, typing each letter takes one or two, or three
seconds! I can't work like this.

I realize I may not have the best processor to be working with
DreamweaverMX 2004. But I'm sure there are plenty of people who couldn't
afford the $45,000.00 to buy a new G5 ;-) to utilize this version of
Dreamwever, so there has to be a bunch of you still using an older
machine with this newer software.

I bet it's taking me 400%-800% longer to do things this way.

What could I be doing wrong? No other applications are open, I have
plenty of memory and OSX doesn't allow you to allocate more memory to
applications (or does it?)

Although I haven't been on Macromedia's site to see if there are any
similar problems like this.

Any thoughts?

This is off topic here, try a DW group in the macromedia hierarchy.

It takes time to screw a site up that badly.
Don't expect Dreamweaver to do it all at once.

I use html-kit on windows (from www.chami.com) - don't know what's good
on mac.
