background-color of div

Any idea why in internet explorer the background color of the text:
"Zoek een vloerleverancier" (with class .kaderbalk in the left column)
has no dark brown background color (but in FF it does)?

Thanks for mentioning that last sentence - it saved me the time of
looking at your page :-)

No seriously - HTML errors could well be the cause of such things, as
for instance a wrongly nested div or span can easily make FF do
something different than IE. So - correct your errors first, then see
if the problem is still there, and only then ask for help.

With 83 errors in your markup and 15 more in your stylesheet, chances are that
they are accountrable for your unwanted result. Fix them, see if the problem
still exists. If so, come back here and ask again.

I don't know why, but if you comment this line it works in IE:

#nav {
/* position: relative; */

IF you make this change, you will have to position the div differently.

Yeah, I know :-) Maar (a) ik zit sinds woensdag in een soort van overdrive,
omdat ik in de eindfase van het schrijven van m'n scriptie ben beland en (b) één
of andere mallotige buurman staat sinds kwart voor zeven (!) z'n heg te trimmen
met een electrische heggeschaar. Waarom Roderik en jij in vredesnaam wakker
zijn, Joost mag 't weten :-D

Kan niet voor Roderik spreken, maar ik heb 2 donderstenen die door de
weeks om 8 uur uit hun bed gesleept moeten worden terwijl ze de avond
ervoor netjes om half 9 in bed lagen, en nu, na een vrijdagavondje
laat TV kijken (tot 10 uur) 's morgens om half 7 Super Mario willen
spelen. Snap jij het, snap ik het? :S
