I posted this last week but didn't get any feedback. I am not sure if
this post didn't get any observation by other or there was not any help
on this issue. So please bear with me on this.
You've not provided enough information to answer the question or to
even make a sensible stab at it.
On Safari, the output is not what is desired.

There are these extra vertical lines where ever text appears and the
dots(thats the image) repeat fine when the text is not there, like
shown above.
Is there a reason why this would happen?
Yes. However, it could be one of many things.
- the image is wrong
test: try a different image or two
- the browser has a bug
test: difficult to test
- the HTML code is wrong
test:
http://validator.w3.org/ for a start
- the CSS code is wrong
test:
http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/ for a start
- it's not, you're hallucinating
test: get someone else to look at it
- your monitor isn't working properly
test: get someone else to look at it
Some are more likely than others, obviously. For the last two, we need
a URL of where we can find this strange phenomena on the web.
Try to produce a minimal case for the problem - take out as much
HTML/CSS code as you can while not stopping the problem. Then take out
some more that stops the problem. You now know roughly where the
problem is.
