There are lots of ways. Which versions of IE do you want to see the
style? Do you want Mac IE to see it as well? Do you want to send a
similar but slightly different style to other browsers? Are you using
Standards mode or Quirks mode in your pages? Do you want to hide a
whole stylesheet or just a single rule?

That's right.

For pure MSIE only styles (for example, using expressions or behaviors),
conditional comments are save and easy.
