Forcing text to bottom of division

I have a basic 3 part column layout.
Thumbnails on part one, text in part two, big image in part three.
Normally, CSS prints text to a division from the top down.
Is there a way to force the text to printed from the bottom up?
So that the text would not appear directly under the thumbnails, but over
the big image more like a caption.
