Hi,
I am relatively new to css and am trying to find the font-size I like
best to use as default. I would prefer to use em values as I found
that it looks consistent between Firefox and IE, whereas x-small etc
values didn't look the same in both browsers. From what I've read in a
couple of places, px or pt are not the best either due to printing
issues or something like that.
I'd be grateful if anyone can check out a sample page at
http://www.germanlinx.vic.edu.au/opinion-please.htm
Is it just an optical illusion for me personally that the text at
0.9em looks less sharp on screen than the text at 0.8em? Does it look
OK to others of you? Is it possible that browsers have a harder time
rendering an odd-number value than an even-number value like 0.8em? I
would prefer the size in the example set at 0.9em - somehow to me 0.8
*looks* sharper, better defined, but I'd prefer if possible not to
have text too small - some sites I've seen have very small default
text size.
The first font stated is Verdana.
Thanks in advance for any feedback/explanation you can give!
Dave
