Add link to a table cell?

Is there a way to add a link to an empty table cell, or a table cell
that has text in it?

I have made these cells (TD's) look like big buttons (somewhat..) by
adding a colored background and putting borders on the bottom and right
for the shading effect.

I feel the user is gonna want to click on the whole "button" and not
just the linked text inside the TD.

I've tried adding a link to the TD but I get nothing.

This has got to be easy, I am just missing it.

Then make the a element block level and fill the entire td box (width,

Anyone knows if it is possible to make the complete area of a table cell a link onmousover or by hover? In other words, I'd like to link, not only the text within the cell, but the entire cell as well as the text within, to bla.html: <table> <tr><td> <br><br><a href="bla.html">bla</a><br><br> </td></tr> </table> How could this be done in pure HTML/CSS or/and with help of Javascript?

I have a "see details" link over in the bottom right of a table cell - exactly were I want it. But when I resize the browser window to make it smaller and squish it together the link does not stay in its cell but goes left crashing into content. How do I keep it wrapping but still hugging the right wall of the rightmost cell? Using Mozilla. I have the code below - you'll see. Thanks

Hi folks, I have a table cell with a background image, something like <td background=landscape.jpg height=200></td> The sole purpose of this code is to display the image inside that table cell. It displays just as much of the image as the current cell width allows. The actual cell width is determined by other cells in the same table column and by the current browser window width.

Through CSS, is there a way to change the color of a table cell on a hover? By the way, the cell also contains a link - the text link and table cell mouseover should both be clickable to the link's destination... Thanks!

Hi everyone, I'm have a table in my aspx page that has 1 row which will contain 0 or more cells. Each cell will contain a link button. My code is something like this: Dim lb As New System.Web.UI.WebControls.LinkButton lb.Text = row("filename") lb.CommandName = "GetAttachment"

Hi, I want to make a whole table a link, so that clicking anywhere on it takes you to another page. Unfortunately the way I initially thought of doing this involved invalid html. I have tried a second valid way, but the behaviour is not quite as good (at least not in firefox 1.5), with only the actual text being links. The examples of what I have tried can be found at http://www.bytronic.com/tests/links.html

Hello good people, Please bear with me as this is my first post and I am relative new to ASP. I do have VB6 experience. I have a form which enables users within our company to do an intranet reservation of available resources (laptops, beamers, etc). The MySql database queries are already in place, as is the ASP administration panel. The frontend that users will see however, still needs some work. I'm really close, but since I'm no...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
