@pradeepjain
you could try setting the screen dimensions in such a way, that it resembles an A5 page (though there won’t be page breaks), other than that you can only check the print preview for how it looks.

and eventually set the media type of the css to print.

i did find out this document it helped setting the A5 size

http://www.w3.org/TR/css3-page/

but the page margins and all are still not working properly :(

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. @page {
  2.   size: 8.5in 11in;
  3.   margin: 10%;
  4.
  5.   @top-left {
  6.     content: "Hamlet";
  7.   }
  8.   @top-right {
  9.     content: "Page " counter(page);
  10.   }
  11. }
i tried out this code from that document the hamlet, and page counter are not appearing, but the properties from the printer are taken like url and all ..how to override all this things from css ??

it depends on the CSS3 support your browser offers.

@pradeepjain
while FF supports CSS3, it still does not fully support it, check the docs to see what properties are not yet supported.

@Dormilich
So is there any way to control whole printer properties and add new headers and footers and margins!!

don’t know exactly, but padding and margin should not be a problem.

if you want total control, you might have to use XSL-FO.

mind that a browser is not intended for printing web pages in the first place…

Hi, I am trying to tuning up the performance of PSQL. I have tried changing the cache size. I found that the default page size if 8k, I am just wondering has any one know, if page size if biger the better or smaller the better, what is a good number of page size? My OS is red hat 8, and the OS page size is 4K. So should I change PSQL page size to 4k or to 16K, 32K? Thanks,

Hi all. I am debugging a JDBC application. I find that a certain query that has an order-by clause fails with a SQL1585N A system temporary table space with sufficient page size does not exist. I can understand if there is not enough room for the temp data for sorting, but why should the page *size* matter? thanks, Joe Weinstein at BEA (DB2 ignorant)

I created a report to print labels, and it created a custom page size for the report. When I opened the properties of the printer driver I could see it listed - as Custom. Then I had to change printer drivers. (Long story, rather OT.) When I displayed the report, it was formatted for a full page - not real useful for mailing labels. The list of available page sizes did not include Custom.

HI Every body , I would like to know whether is it mandatory to give Tablespace page size and Bufferpool page size equal..? i also heard like while creating tablespace if pages size of tablespace and bufferpool , the statement itself will fail ...why i'm asking is if we chose a different page size ( ofcourse less than bufferpool page size ) only it shoud affect the performance of db2 .. Thanks in Advance Raja Shekar

wat will happen to a std string function like strcmp etc when the size of the string is greater than page size of the OS? A bigger question is how will they be even stored? (if at all they can be stored) My guess is that this is not an issue as I assume we can malloc like 1MB(>page size), so when we try to access it, both the pages are brought to memory. Does malloc by default tries to allocate in the same page? If so, how will it deal...

Dear reader, In case a report is a sub report the Report Header of the sub report is printed in the report but the Page Header of the sub report will not be printed. This is the same for Page Footer of the sub report. Is there a possibility to force printing Page Header and Page Footer of a sub report.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
