you can't actually do that in a way thats cross browser friendly.

HOWEVER, try this...

when you insert you values use the   character to spread out the words.

Is there a way to store HTML into a MySQL TEXT column, yet be able to search over textual content only? For example, if I store the following HTML snippet: <p>A very <em>small</em> paragraph.</p> .... into an TEXT column, I would like to be able to search in the text "A very small paragraph." only, meaning the search would find "small" (even if it's enclosed in <em> tags and

I'm facing an extremely irksome bug in FireFox. This select tag is not rendering quite right. When I click on it to choose a color, it shows a scroll tab, but the scroll only goes down to the 43 option and ends with f0f. However, I find that when I use the arrow keys, I can still walk through the whole list. It just isn't visible. Considering the javascript involved, this is a limiting bug. Text color: <select...

Thank you in advance for any and all assistance. I'm trying to input data from strings to a memo field. I would like to know how to check first to see if there is text there currently and if so move to the end and input the new text. Also, would like to know if I can change the justification on each line of text as it's entered. i.e. Company Name, address, city state and zip would be centered and all the

tblCourses one to many to tblEvents. A course may have an intro workshop (a type of event), a mid course workshop, a final exam. Or any combination. Or something different in the future. At the moment the printed output is usually going to Word. It's turning into an unholy mess, because I'm having to prepare umpteen different Word templates, and the queries that drive them, depending on what events a course has.

I'm trying to replicate a fancy drop-down control (MS-egads!) with form <select><option> It doesn't look like you can specity width as an attribute or define width with CSS. It looks like my choices are to use smaller fonts or choose shorter option strings. inline: I want to put a small graphic immediately to the right of the select.

I am currently working to create a VB program that will do more detailed in-file text search functions than windows has to offer. I have a form with a RichTextBox control to display the text that has been found in the files. The problem is that when a search has been found that is at the very start of the file and the .select method is used to select just the first portion it ends up selecting everything in the RichTextBox control...

When I select textbox1 I want all text in it to be selected. I used the textbox1_enter event to run textbox1.selectall() This works if I tab to the box but not if it is selected by clicking on it. I hat to have to put textbox1.selectall() in the click event too. GotFocus event doesn't work any better than the enter event. I could swear that back in VB4 I used the gotfocus event to select all text no matter how the box was entered. ...

I can't seem to cut-and-paste text, with either .doc or .html formatting, into my .asp web-pages --all the formatting is lost. Is there some code that needs to be added to the page that will tell.asp to leave the formatting the way it is? I thought that the fact that .asp is a MicroSoft product, there would be complete compatibility with "word.doc" text formatting --perhaps I'm wrong about that. Thanks.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
