I never know what people mean by 'textbox'. Do you mean <textarea> or a form <input>?

In css, use border-style .

Hi! Thanks for your reply.!

By textbox i mean the asp .net textbox which renders as an input field.

I have tried every type of border style and still cant cant seem to match IEs default. Ive been using a screen magnifier to look at the pixels and it is always different.

Which border style and color it should be?

Yes, asp.net stuff is Microsoft specific and won't mean anything to most of us.

There are many articles about styling forms. I'm getting ready to do such a page soon. I'm going to bed right now and, tomorrow, going out of town. You need to look into the border style properties for CSS but be careful of IE which tends to be inadequate in CSS.

I have a asp form where among others there are few text boxes and one check box. The checkbox is to indicate whether the entry is final. The checkbox is attahced to a field in table of type yes/no. After saving the documents, the form is refreshed. At this point, if the checkbox has been saved with checked, it shows unchecked, if it has been saved unchecked it shows unchecked. Hi there, I have a text box which will receive its value from a pop-up date picker. The user should not be able to edit this field with the keyboard or mouse. I am using ASP.NET. If I set the readonly property of the textbox to true, it won't let the user change it and it can receive its value from the pop-op calendar, just what I need. Problem is, after a postback, value is lost. So I think Javascript may come to the rescue here. Is...

I wrote my Windows Service first as a regular Windows Exe because it is easier to debug. In that I used AppDir = Application.ExecutablePath.Substring(0, Application.ExecutablePath.LastIndexOf("\")) ' Where this application Excutable sits Now, when I am converting it to a Service, what path can I use? Or can I specify a path in the service to always use as a data path? I would prefer the former because I do not know the layout of...

You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
