Can someone identify the fonts being used?

Hi everyone.

I was wondering if anyone can identify the fonts being used in the
following design:

http://www.geocities.com/terrance.mu...rantdesign.jpg

Thanks in advance,

Terry

Hell, I can't even read most of that crap.

The sans-serif face looks like 8pt Nausiatica (and Nausiatica Bold) and
the frilly (mostly green) one is probably 16pt Obscura Cursive. Maybe.

Probably you want to know the fonts so you won't accidentally use them? ;-)

Seriously, try this: http://www.identifont.com/

Thanks for the quick response John.

I am in an internship and was asked to create a site that uses the
fonts and colors shown in the design page. So I am trying to do just
that.

I was wondering if the fonts that you identified fairly common or
popular. That is, would most browsers recognize them?

Thanks,

Terry.

The picture is too lousy. How can a pic be prepared to be that
bad? I hope the preparer is not also the cook.

If they gave you an actual page instead of that picture, then that'd help.

Well, don't take me too seriously, at least not on those names. Perhaps
if English isn't your native language, you won't catch the attempted
humor behind the fonts I invented. Maybe my sense of humor is foreign.

Seriously: I have no idea what typefaces they are. Even if I were good
at font-spotting, I probably wouldn't be able to do it from that
picture. The quality is so poor I can only tell serif from sans-serif.

The link I provided is all I can really offer you. Good luck.

Hi again.

I decided to post the url again of the design page as it was
originally sent to me.

It is: http://www.geocities.com/terrance.mu.../thedesign.jpg

The page I had up previously was enlarged.

Thanks,

Terry

Hi John.

I am sorry I caught the humour now. I guess I need a little more
sleep.

Thanks again,

Terry

Is this supposed to help? It was hard enough to read before, now it's
completely unreadable.

Regardless, you're posting in the wrong newsgroup. A better choice might
be alt.design.grap hics, but they'll probably just point you to the
identifont site Mr Hosking already mentioned. I do believe they know of
a forum specifically for fonts, though. I suggest searching the google
archives and try to find it yourself first.

But I couldn't find an exact match.

You are aware that none of those fonts will show up unless your website
users also have them installed unless you make them into graphics?

We moved some pages of Japanese, Korean and Chinese from one server to another. In doing so, the users with Windows XP could still see the Asian fonts. However, a user with Windows 2000 could no longer see the Asian fonts, but he could when the pages were on the other server. Can anyone think of why a Windows 2000 user could once see Asian fonts but cannot now? These are the meta tags I used on those pages: <meta...

Hi all Have a customer that wants a specific font included in her web page design; Comic Sans MS. This is one of the MS core fonts. The problem I have is that some of the *nix browsers do NOT include these fonts by default. http://www.diamondvet.com/test renders those fonts correctly using an XP box. After I installed those fonts on my machine, firefox and mozilla both rendered them correctly. So here is the question:

Hi again folks, What would be the most efficient method of ensuring that the fonts I used during design will be used in the final version on the Users machine(s)? Assuming that a number of these fonts will not BE on the Users's PC, is there a way, short of installing them, that I can make a call to fonts stored in the database folder? Thanks, Stonward Roy.
