Spanish language displays incorrectly

1 New Member
I have been working on a page in English, and today began tackling the Spanish version of the site. I'm curious because on the homepage (www.nuestracas a.com/esp/) it displays the spanish language characters (accented letters and other commonly used spanish characters) correctly, but on a subpage (www.nuestracas a.com/esp/buying-tips.php) it does not. Anyone have thoughts?

Hi. I am attempting to display some Spanish text on my web site using HTML. However, the Spanish characters, such as the 'N' in Espana are not being displayed correctly. The text in the HTML source is fine, it's just when I view the site using my browser I get the problem. I am using an IE:Mac running Mac OS X. I have used the HTML tag <p lang="es"> for the relevant paragraph as the rest of the site is in English. Any help would be greatly...

I need to read Spanish words from a file and print them to the screen. Is there a C++ header file that allows foreign words? Is the problem C or the OS? (I am the only person that will use this program)

This totally surprised me. I'm using IE 6. I built a really simple test.aspx page that had a javascript block in it like this: <script language=javascript src="spanish.js"></script> Inside the spanish.js I had 1 line that set a variable to a spanish character. var Test = "á";

I'm having a problem with double encoding on my page which is localized in both English and Spanish. I try to set Image1.AlternateText = "B&Uacute;SCAR", and when the page displays the alt attribute, it is double-encoded as "B&amp;Uacute;SCAR". So I try to run the string through HttpUtility.HtmlDecode first, but AlternateText doesn't encode the Acute-U. The alt attribute is "B`USCAR" Is there a way to short-circuit AlternateText's...

I have a case whereby a webpage will, for some bizarre reason, display in Spanish even though the end-user is insisting that they are not changing their IE language settings; when they refresh the page it reverts back to English and stays that way. I am tasked with investigating as to why this has ever occurred as it seems to occur with one particular JSP page that is reading initially from

I only use C++ with Visual Studio 6.0 for string manipulations in thousands of HTML pages on my website. Many times, the output files of many of my C++ programs contain a spanish question mark (¿) as their first character. What creates it? How do we avoid it? Thanks! maria

Try setting the "Neutral Language" in the Assembly Information to one of the Spanish options. Let me know if it works. I've never needed the "Neutral Language" option, so I don't know if it works or not. "Torben Laursen" wrote:

Hi Experts! I am developing heavy mathematical engineering windows application in VB.NET (VS2005) with MSAccess Db. This application has resource files in English, Spanish and German Language. I have same setup to run in all these 3environment Windows XPs. In English, calculations are perfect; but in Spanish ',' is treated as '.' and '.' is treated as ',' e.g. 12.24 in EN is '12,24' in Spanish. I somehow managed to do it by manually...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
