Centering Tables/LayoutTables not same in Internet Explorer and Mozilla

1 New Member
I need the folowing help. My web is divided in two frames, up for the menu and the main for the page. I use Layout tables to struct my page. However using tables is bit same. But I got problems when I adjust them CENTER. In IE they look ok, but in Mozilla this CENTER means not whole screen of the explorer, it adjust till the scroller. So if I got scroller shown in the main page, the menu in the up that is placed into the table just not looks same as it schould be. I must to trick this and to place vertical scroolers for both 2 frames, no mather if they are needed or not...
SO is there any solution to fix this CENTER positing and to be shown same in IE and MOZILLA...i mean to hell out my verticall scrollers, and in Mozilla to CENTER to mean whole browser page including the vertical scroolers
THANK YOU...PLS HELP
:P

Without the complete code or a link, it's impossible to help. Whatever the issue, it will be with IE even though it does what you want.

.. I try to use CSS when possible, though I am still learning and don't maximize its use. In particular, I still use a table to provide for a centered image in a few slideshows (though table vertical align doesn't work in Mozilla): http://zintel.com/homepics.html I've used combinations of <center>, style align 'center', table cell...

Hi -- I'm trying to figure out how to make a photo thumbnail gallery page using CSS and no tables that (1) has a caption below each image and (2) is centered -- so that as browser width changes the images consistently reconstitute themselves as centered rows with the maximum number of images on each row. I've made a test page at...

For some time I've made use of the max-width property in CSS to cause my pages to appear as a centered block against a contrasting background. This works well in new browsers (Mozilla, etc.) and falls back fine in IE6 and lesser creations. As one who practices "classic" (i.e. dull) typography, this has always been satisfactory since I've...

margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; doesn't seem to be centering tables in a webpage I'm working on, in IE. It does so in Opera, but not in IE. Any ideas as to why? Or better yet, what I can do to fix it? Here's the URL: http://www.frostjedi.com/terra/scripts/graemlin/frontpage2.php

Hello everyone, I've developed a calendar program in javascript, and up until now I've done most of my testing using Mozilla and Firefox. Everything works fine, but when I try to use Internet Explorer my response time is sometimes 50 times slower than using Mozilla. Hello, me again. This time I'd like to align a DIV both horizontally and vertically centered within a larger DIV. The only alignment-relevant CSS property I could think of was text-align, and that didn't work. Of course I could put the DIV into a one-cell table and use the td's align and vertical-align attributes, but let's assume I...

1. Horizontal centering a <divin browser window. The current trend seems to be to place page content in a fixed width area in the middle of the browser window. How is this achieved? If I use a top level <divthen I can place it with CSS attribute 'left:', but this is a fixed offset. Is it possible to have a <divcentered in the browser window?...

I'm playing around with a test page that uses a <div id="main"within the context of a body with a width of 100% to center a fixed width field on a page. For some reason, the page is not centering in Internet Explorer. What's odd is that it works on my site's home page and most other pages, but not on pages that I am returning from a...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows.
