Hi Everyone..
hope you can help!

I have a IE6 border bug,
most of the common fixes tell me to use relative on my container divs.

This fixed some problems but now I have a left border problem and a top
right corner problem

here is the code:

Hi, I posted earlier because my content was disappearing on IE6, and was pointed towards the peekaboo bug site, http://www.positioniseverything.net/explorer/peekaboo.html I used the 'position: relative' fix, which has worked mostly...the content is now always visible, but it doesn't seem to have totally fooled the browser. Under the same conditions that the content was not visible before, the vertical scrollbar will now not appear. ...

I've created a page that will contain a the thumbnails of photos I took in Beijing a couple of years back but since making each thumbnail <div> a float: left the <h1> tag in the document disappears in IE. This does not happen in Mozilla. Resizing the IE window sometimes makes the <h1> appear, but I usually have to highlight the text to make it visible. Here's the offending page: http://marc.fearby.com/mfnewsite/beijing/day1.php ...

I'm posting here because this is associated with the behaviour of a floated element. It has similarities to the IE 6 (on Windows) "peekaboo" bug, and I suspect was written by the same coder having a bad-hair day. http://www.barry.pearson.name/test/ie6_bug.htm "Peekaboo" causes text in a "floatholder" to fail to be rendered. "My" bug (which I am willing to sell for lots of money) causes part of a floated box to suddenly disappear when a...

Please look at the page http://www.members.iinet.net.au/~abell1/test/leaders.htm whose css file is city.css in the same directory. The page has a header, a left fixed and floated navigation div, a right content div, and a footer div which serves only to clear the float and to ensure there is a space between text in the content div and the bottom of the view screen. The general layout works well with MSIE 5.5 and 6 and Mozilla, Netscape...

I have been having problems with a site I am building for someone. You can see the site here http://www.stockchildservices.co.uk/ All of the code validates as XHTML 1.1 and CSS 2.1 and appears fine in both Firefox and Opera, however when I view the page in IE6, the entire menu is missing until you hover over one of the links in either the content or the right hand column of the page, then it all "magically" reappears! Searching around...

Hello to all forum members, I can't solve this strange behaviour of IE6 (win); I need to make one row of 90x40px buttons with one of them divided horizontally in two mini-buttons of 90x20px. This is the screenshots as it should be (safari/mac): http://alexzeta.netsons.org/safaritest.png And this is IE6/win: http://alexzeta.netsons.org/ie6test.png

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
