CSS style disappears

I have a strange problem. I have an aspx page. On this page I have 2
panels. In on panel, I have a datagrid that it is filled with data from
sql server. The second panel is used to show the details of the
selected row
of my grid. When the page is presented for the firts time, I only show
second panel. The first panel is visible to false. the CSS style of my
controls is ok. When I click on a button to show the first panel to
the list, I set the visible property of the second panel to false.
having selected a row in my datagrid, the second panel is show again
but the
CSS style disappears. I thought that by adjusting the CSS property That
would preserve the style but it don't. What I do wrong ?

Thank you

Marc R.

Please look at page http://www.dcs-chico.com/~denmarks/amtrak.html I am trying to change the color of the first dropdown menu but everything that I have tried has no effect. If I put the style in the select statement the color only applies to the undroppeddown menu. When opened the color disappears. In the option statement it has no effect. I have tried IE and Netscape on a Mac.

I find that when I use list-style-image with galeon or mozilla, padding is inserted between the symbol image and the following list text, while under IE 5.0 it seems to be inserted before the image instead of after it. li.up { list-style-image: url(../bin/arrow.png); height: 1.4em; margin-left: -0.4em; }

I made a kind of tabular navigation (still in development). You can see it here: http://www.top100nederland.net/test/tabjes.htm When I click on the first tab, the border disappears. I thought it should change it's color, but it shouldn't disappear. Any idea, what is wrong in my script? Thanks in advance,

Hi I have another style sheet question: We effectively have a page that has two text boxes on it. We would like one text box to be in one style and the other text box to be in another style. The problem is we would like the user to be able to control the styles using style sheets. Is there anyway around this without hard coding the styles into the page?

I finally figured out how to enable XP style on VB .NET apps, but now when I want a button to show an image it seems to disappear when the xp style is enabled. Actually the image disappears whenever a button's FlatStyle property is set to System which is what it has to be for XP Style to work. So my question is, what's the best way of showing an image on such a button. Preferably an image from an image list since I need transparency.

Has anyone had problems with the Style Builder in VS 2005 disappearing? When I try to open the VS 2005 Style Builder, it opens momentarily, then disappears. It happens whether I open it from the Format menu or from the Style property in the VS 2005 Properties window. Has anyone else run into this problem? Any idea what might be causing it? Thanks in advance. -- David Veeneman Foresight Systems

There are a couple posts about this here, but no answers. The problem is when you attempt to use the style builder for a page element in VS 2k5, the form appears and then immediately disappears. If you try again ten or so times, the whole IDE freezes up. Do any of the MVPs have any info on this? TIA.

Hi, I have a strange problem: I wrote a reverse proxy that redirects pages to a local or remote server. Everything seems to work fine, but I have a strange problem with inline styles. In my proxy, the inline style disappears, while if I executed the website on the local server only, without the reverse proxy processing anything, the inline styles appear in the tag. The original HTML code is the following: <abc:basiclabel...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
