url masking stops links working?

I have uploaded a small 3 page web using MS Publisher 2003 and after
uploading I switched on url masking to cloak the url.

I am certain that it worked fine.

I simply changed the colour scheme in Publisher and reuploaded the page. The
links no longer work?

When I switch off url masking it works as it should?

www.sealpointroofing.com is pointing to
http://www.btinternet.com/~jimmysmit...pointindex.htm and of course if you go in
through the latter url it works also

This is something simple isnt it?

Thanks for any help!

Microsoft tools do not produce valid markup. Instead, the crap they
produce can best be described as
application/vnd.ms-tag-soup+illformed-xml. Essentially nothing but the
most buggy MS products can understand it. Run the publisher generated
HTML through the validator [1] to see how messed up it is.

It works for me, but if I weren't using a browser that supported frames,
I'd get a disastrous frameset page telling me my browser doesn't support
them. By the way, AFAIK, Google doesn't support frames, so good luck
getting any visitors. :-)

Please don't use URL masking [2], it's a totally inaccessible piece of
junk that abuses the concept of frames for unnecessary presentational
purposes. You should switch to a host the provides real web/domain
hosting, not an overpriced pseudo-redirection service (If they're
charging you anything more than $0 for it, demand a refund). I've been
referred to a few very cheap hosting services that might be suitable for
your needs [3].

Always a bad idea; the pseudo-HTML/XML extruded by that program makes
the output of FrontPage look incredibly clean by comparison.
and after
uploading I switched on url masking to cloak the url.

Another bad idea; get a real hosting account so you don't have to use a
clumsy contraption of frames to impair the navigation of your site.

I have a ToolBarButton that when I set it to disabled (button.Enabled = false;) causes a really ugly gray masking effect to take place. This is normal and the intended way of the button, but I would like to clean it up. Instead of using the gray mask, I want to use my own grayscaled high quality image. I thought by simply setting...

Hi- I'm having some problems with postback (using .net 1.1 on XP Professional). All my postback links stop functioning after a while. We have a huge PHP e-commerce site that relies totally on PHP sessions and cookies. We need to create a demo version of the site for potential clients to use that does NOT show the original URL in the browser, but we can't just simply copy the site and database over to to a new URL. My first thought was to set up a site at the new URL and...

Hello all, It seems like subdomain forwarding prevents ASP.Net session state from working correctly. Example: two websites http://www.jgphotographers.com/test and http://picturestore.newpicturestore.com/test - the first one works - the counter using session state increases every time the button is clicked. The second one uses subdomain...

Hey all :) I was wondering about the $error_types (I particularly notice the 's' suffix when reading the manual) parameter for 'set_error_handler()': Can be used to mask the triggering of the error_handler function just like the error_reporting ini setting controls which errors are shown. Without this mask set the error_handler will be...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
