CD writing replacing old folder content

I take backups on CD every second day, and just started it a week ago.

Till now I have three folders in the CD, May0108, May0308 and May0608. All were supposed to have different contents. But actual is something else. All the folders contain the same files version which I created today (May0508).

How is that possible?

PS: I'm using Nero StartSmart

Hi!
Check the CD on a different Computer - is there anything on there at all?
I'm assuming, that SmartStart is not actually writing the CD, only preparing to - and always takes the newest sources.

Which option in SmartStart did you choose?

No, its actually writing it and writing the latest to all.

I think its not able to index the files properly. When I open an older version folder, it opens the latest one. A weird problem though.

I tired the same thing in DVD, in the same DVD writer which I used earlier. I also gave same results.

Will look into this when free... but it could be dangerous if I had not come to know that older versions are being overwritten.

Though I'll check the CD in some other computer as you said.
Regards,
Harpreet
